A 60-second documentary with Paul Dayton of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. As a student there in the Marine Biodiversity and Conservation program, I was given the assignment to tell a compelling story of a Scripps researcher in a strict 60 seconds. The seventeen of us in the summer quarter were given 24 hours to interview our subjects on shared gear and then edit the footage in time for a community-wide viewing on campus. The soundtrack is a hacked up Lakes of Canada by the Innocence Mission and was added in the waning hour before air time. Originally posted on youtube by shiftingbaselines.org
